Mother Earth vs.Capitalism

I think I may have found a new hobby. I recently, picked up a new shampoo and conditioner from a Natural Food store, that is made completely with natural ingredients from herbs and plants. It works rather nicely on my hair, and I like it a lot. Its a bit costly for a shampoo/conditioner set, but I think it's worth it in comparison to the amount of unnatural and dangerous and/or damaging chemicals and plastics they put in commercial shampoo/conditioner sets (ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, anyone?)
Here's a link to an article that lists some of the things they put in these shampoos/conditioners and the damages they cause 10 Chemicals to Avoid

Anyway, on to my hobby. I've become fascinated by the natural aspects of my new purchases, and started looking up the ingredients online. Some of the uses are simply amazing, and it all comes from the earth. Which leads me to my idea for my future hobby. I think I'd like to study herbs and their benefits/uses, and possibly when I'm able to, start cultivating a few of the ones I like and have the most use for. I've always wanted to have my own garden, this would definitely be one of use.
I've found so many articles so far that I have really struck me as amazing and gratifying.

Its amazing that the earth offers all that one could possibly need, yet due to capitalism and greed, companies rather slowly poison their consumers, and pharmaceutical companies rather patent and exploit, rather than educate and share knowledge to the public. All in the name of money.

If you'd like to look into Natural Hair-Skin care try looking into Aubrey Organics

Check out their article section as well... this is a good starter The Economics of Herbals

Suddenly being Crunchy Granola isn't so bad.
